Samsung’s Galaxy S7 was a hit last year. Almost all of the top review sites called it one of the best smartphones ever released, and with good reason. Samsung is looking to outdo itself with the release of the Galaxy S8, with almost all bezels to allow for a 5.8″ screen size while only being .25″ longer than the S7. If Verizon Wireless is your carrier and you’re on the hunt for a new phone, there’s a pretty good offer available right now.
The Galaxy S8 can be yours for $30/ month for 24 months; $720 up front. Although the price is steep Samsung is offering the newest version of the Gear VR for free (with a controller), valued at $130, if you pre-order the phone before April 21, 2017. This new version of the VR even comes with a controller. The price of the device can be lowered depending on what phone you’re willing to trade in. There’s also the $30 activation fee.
If pre-ordered, which is the only way to get the VR headset for free, the phone is estimated to be delivered by 4-21-2017.
Before taxes and the other fees, this brings the total price of purchasing a new Galaxy S8 from Verizon to $750. Keep in mind, that’s before the price of the plan is added in.
