[Dropcaps]With every company trying to become more environmentally conscious (for sincerity or tax reasons) your old phone is definitely valuable. I’m not talking about your old phone from high school or anything like that, but ones that are reasonably old and in good condition. When you do go in to upgrade to a new phone, be sure to take your old one with you and ask if you can receive a credit for it. These days retailers are willing to credit you up to $300 for something that’s just junk in your eyes, meaning that advertised new $200 phone can quickly become yours for free. No I’m not playing games with you. You really can free money from your old phone.[/Dropcaps]
Now granted the more recent your phone is ,as well as it’s condition, will depend on how much you receive. Just keep that in mind. That’s another reason why I always say it’s a no-brainer to keep a screen protector and case on your smartphones…they are ~$500 mini computers after all.
If you’re unable to get any money from trading in your phone to the retailer, you should still consider recycling the phone there so they can do it the correct way and the parts don’t end up in a landfill. Or give the device to a family member or friend who could really use a phone but doesn’t have the money to purchase one. Remember, it’s always great to give back 🙂

Here is a trusted site that you may want to try selling your device to that accepts a wide variety of cellphones. Just to give you an example, they’ll give you $160 for a 16GB iPhone 4 in good condition.[/Alert_Box]
