Google has decided to combine their music, apps, movies, games and eBooks into one service known as Google Play. The difference with this service is that you’ll be able to access the aforementioned items across your different devices and the web without having to sync. For example, if you decided to download Alice in Wonderland on your tablet and wanted to continue reading it on your laptop, you know have the option to do so. There’s no downloading the book onto the browser or having to remember what page you left on. All you have to do is head to play.google.com, select the book and you’re instantly taken to the page where you’ve left off. Cool right!?
In order to help celebrate the launch of Google Play you’ll find select albums for $3.99, books for $2.99, games for 49¢ and movies for 99¢. The deals only last for this week though so hurry and get what you can! This afternoon I already got my hands on the number one camera app for Android (as stated by Lifehacker), World of Goo, They Need to be Fed, 20 Minute Meals and yes…Dead Space… all for $2.50. Thanks to Jonathan for letting me know about this. Be sure to take a look at his nice YouTube channel as well!
